The UK Designer team are back this friday and saturday with their bumper Easter sample sale, once again jammed with lots of lovely fashions from London, England.
And because it’s Easter I’ve chosen to include some of the prominent yellow collections from the Spring 2012 catwalk shows…..
SHOPPING AT THE UK DESIGNER SALES
There’s always so much to see so it’s important to make sure you’re well prepared. Ideally, set aside plenty of time for flicking through the racks, you’ll uncover more treasures if you look at everything properly. Try styles or colours you wouldn’t normally go for – it’s all so cheap that it’s worth being a little ‘risque’!
Relax and check any heavy bags or coats at the desk, you’ll find carrying your selection of samples will be enough! Remember you can try on as much as you like.
Go to the sale wearing something simple and easy to slip on and off – if you do need to nip out of the changing room to check the rails again, it’s not a hassle. Wear modest underwear – it’s a communal changing room so wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
Being samples they are mostly mediums which is 6 to 8 Canadian (or English sizing a 10 to 12 UK – there’s a difference of 4). Because they are made for so many different brands with different target customers the sizing can be radically different – so do try everything on – looks can be deceiving. They also have a good selection of 0’s to 4’s too, for the more petite ladies.
They are constantly restocking so keep your eye open for new styles coming out the boxes at the desk area – it’s well worth a second trip back to sale as new samples are added continuously.
Enjoy the sale!
